Linnea Nelson;
Linnea graduated from Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois in 1973 with majors in Chemistry and Biology. Later graduate courses included Biochemistry and Spectroscopy at Michigan State University, Lansing Michigan, and industrial Toxicology. at Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan.
During thirteen years with the Dow Chemical Company she worked on various projects in toxicology, microbiology, and water and brine chemistry both in the lab and in production. Research in fire retardants produced two issued patents. Work in chemical nomenclature, technical writing, editing, technical information database management, and research led to thirteen years experience as a free-lance technical information researcher with Albright and Wilson, Americas, and additional smaller companies.
Linnea and her husband Jerry have two children and currently reside outside Berthoud, Colorado, along with assorted dogs, cats, and wildlife.
